This Indiana Jones 4 movie poster is by far the ugliest entry in the series. It’s not only confusing but doesn’t bring any information about the film. The art looks like some cheap photoshop work and it’s not surprising that this poster hasn’t been used much for the marketing campaign.
Here is one of the early Indiana Jones 4 teaser posters. We only see the hat, the whip and a box featuring his name. This poster embodies the notion of teaser poster as it teases you without showing you anything, not even the character. The box is used like a mcguffin, creating a feeling of mystery regarding what’s inside. Is that the crystal skull from the title or in a post-modern twist, is that the film itself that will be delivered to us for Memorial day?
